We were having problems with our door slowly opening and then it just stopped opening all together.

I called the company. Michelle helped me to diagnose the problem, gave me clear instructions on how to look inside the door at the parts and this enabled me to see that the lift cable was broken.

After only 2-1/2 years use, the lifting cable broke!!!! Unit NOT easy to get into to troubleshoot problem. No warranty!! For what I paid for this doggy door, I expect longer life!!
