Don’t last very long

I’ve had this dog door for over five years. So far, I have had to replace the flap every 6 to 8 months due to it breaking. I assumed with it being for large dogs, it would be able to handle the abuse of large dogs. It does not. And because of the constant flap replacements, it has cause damage to the housing.i have unfortunately gotten good at scavenging parts off the broken flaps (I have several at this point) just to get it to hold up until I can get a new flap purchased and shipped. Overall, I would not recommend this to people with active large dogs.

I am very pleased with the product itself. I thought I would be able to change it out myself, it was more difficult than I expected and had to get someone else to do it.

Worked out great the original door lasted over 5 years in Idaho weather

Best Doggie door ever. Just freshening up after years of mud and construction.
