I love these doors and collars. However, we had a break on our buckle. Then we attached the sensor to their regular dog collar. The angle was weird and off and took longer to open the door. Then they chewed on the sensor and now it won’t work and now the pup sneaks upstairs to pee when we are asleep and it hasn’t been fun to step in. In the mean time, the buckle decided to break for our other dog, hanging from his collar. So anyway, if dog #1 times it just right he can follow the other dog through the door and no accidents inside. There needs to be a way to order the nylon strap or to attach to a regular dog collar. I had emailed about a new nylon strap and they seemed confused as to what I needed. If I could’ve just gotten new nylon collars I wouldn’t have been spending another $100 on two new units right now.

Very difficult to open especially for people with Arthritis to replace battery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know you can remedy this because I recommended changing the closing mechnism of the collar and it was done ASAP. Thanks

I have a young Great Pyrenees who takes care of my farm. His energy level is through the roof, if he is in the house and hears anything outside, he is gone! He must use this dog door at least 50 times a day and night. I bought the one that goes in the wall and had to have a contractor install it, but small price to pay for how this changed my life. I would have easily given 5 stars, except that I keep having to purchase the "extra rugged and water proof" pet collars. My dog does swim in the pond often and I'm sure the collar takes a beating....maybe 'extra rugged' never met a dog like Jericho. Anyway, this is another small price to pay for the convenience of this dog door. If you are hesitant, trust me, this electric door is WELL WORTH IT!!!

We have 3 poodles who love their electric dog door, I recommend it to all my friends. Three others have bought at my recommendation. My rescue loves to sit in front of the door and let's it go up and down, up and down. She wears out the most batteries. They wear out the collar sensors too fast.
