The boot is the way to go

After complaining about fraying edges on the collar I cut down to cat length, the high tech customer service folks contacted me and suggested a “boot”. This is a rubber cover for the transmitter box which allows me to secure it on a true breakaway cat collar. My cats do not mind the size of the box and being able to use the collar of my choice was a great solution. Thanks high tech.

We're so happy to hear everything worked out!

It's amazing how something as simple as the rubber boot can make such a noticeable difference in a pet's comfort and safety. And thank you for the photo. Your kitty is definitely a looker!

I had a previous review unhappy re the breakaway of the cat collar. hightech reached out and helped me understand the type of collar it was, and that it was safe. the fob portion is still too big for a cat in my opinion, maybe when she is a full year it will work out. im going to try again in a few months and follow up review. thank you to hightec for walking me through the breakaway portion and providing the boot portion.

Not a cat collar, no breakaway latch. Huge transmitter for a cat, as big as the collar for my 90 pound GSD. im sure cat will spend every moment trying to get it off. And ahe would. I spent over 200 for 3 collars not suitable for a cat. If your going to sell to cat owners, know your customer. Im really not thrilled.

Cat collar

I was excited about the new cat collar for my hightec pet door but disappointed that it is not smaller and lighter than the dog collar. My 3 cats are 9-15 lbs but the device seems really large hanging around their necks. 1/3 the size would have been great.
