What’s so special about Duraflex Pet Doors?
These doors use High Tech Pet’s proprietary technology with rare earth magnets embedded along the entire periphery of our unique wide flange flap. Mating magnets in the frame are mounted on floating seals to perfectly mate with the flap to providing a draft free seal at all points. The sealing surface of the flap is neoprene rubber that mates an industrial felt sealing surface in the door frame. This rubber on felt interface provides the most effective seal possible. No draft, no air leaks even in storm force winds! Yet, Duraflex flaps are easily opened by any pet. How is this possible? The secrete is the use of multiple point magnets. Wind blowing against the closed flap works against all magnets at once requiring a great deal of force to break the seal. However, the nose first approach of a pet easily pushes the first two magnet sets apart then sequentially separates the magnets one at a time as your pet moves through the opening. This ingenious technique gives you both high strength sealing and easy opening.
