It is a wonderful convenience and works well. Good services and responsiveness from the company.

Bought this to "regulate" when our dogs can go outside. My wife works early in the morning. Our free ranging Australian Shepherds like to chase porcupines, coyotes, wolverines and badgers before the sun comes up. We have had for to many vet bills for "defeated" fights from Wyoming wildlife on the ranch. This did cure our issues - we simply put the dogs in our shop kennel, and when the sun comes up we click "hold open" on the app, the dogs escape without fear.

A few things about this set up - the collars are a joke. They are very poorly made, and will not live long on a rugged dog. Maybe it would be ok for a toy breed, but they are far too weak for a real farm dog. As much as I would like to use the "auto open" feature from the dog - it simply isnt in the cards with those inferior collars. If this company was wise, they would allow a third party to make collars that are compatible.

The other thing - the app is wonky. It is poorly coded, and I have had more than one issue with it not having connectivity. I am in the process of rebuilding my own version using HA and a programmable Bluetooth dongle on the dog.

Also, I dont trust that this hardware isnt "phoning home" with the IOT device that is in it. I have this on a VLAN with other sketchy chinese devices so I am not broadcasting my personal life to the CCP.

Overall, the door is well built, and it does work for what it is designed for. I do have it over a different dog door - since I leave it on "hold open" almost all the time.

It is extremely overpriced for the tech you are receiving. But until another company competes, they will sell them for this price. It is the only game in town.

We have 2 dogs, a small yorkie and a bigger Sammy. They are constantly bugging us to be let out to the back yard. It became very annoying. We finally decided to splurge and get the WiFi pet door. Just installed it today and it works great! The Sammy already has figured out on how to use it. Unfortunately, we purchased an extra collar rx-10 collar because it was rechargeable but it’s too big for our Yorkie. So we haven’t been able to test it with him. Also, our house is brick and we ordered the tunnel kit, but we discovered we need an extra kit. We reached out to customer service and I’m sure they will have no issue exchanging the collar for the smaller one and selling us an extra tunnel kit. Love it so far!

I’ve had my door for a year now and it has been so great. When I first bought it, I would have given it a four star due to the amount of time it took to connect to the door with my phone when away from home. This problem has been fixed and I can now connect to it almost instantly. My dog has really put this door to the test by running in and out of it every day and it’s performed flawlessly. Very high quality and I highly recommend!
