Which Mount Type Is Right for You?

Door mount installs directly into any exterior door — wood, fiberglass, or hollow-core. You cut a hole the size of the flap opening and the frame drops in. A power outlet must be nearby.

Wall mount installs into your wall using the included heavy-gauge aluminum tunnel. Takes roughly 1–2 hours. Ideal when you don't have a suitable exterior door or want to preserve your door.

Patio mount is the simplest installation — no cutting at all. The patio panel slides directly into your existing sliding glass door track, replacing the glass. It features dual-pane Low-E glass, a heavy-gauge aluminum frame, and a universal lock. Available in regular height (75"–80¼") and tall height (92¾"–96").

What makes the Power Pet Roll Up different from other automatic pet doors?

The Power Pet Roll Up is the world's only motorized roll-up pet door. How does the collar activation work?

Each Power Pet Roll-Up comes with an MS-5 ultrasonic collar. Your dog wears the collar, and the door's directional sensors detect when a collar-wearing pet approaches and opens automatically. No training or pairing required — put the collar on, turn on the door, and it works. Pets without a collar cannot open the door. Additional collars are available separately for multi-pet households.

What's the difference between regular height and tall patio models?

The difference is the height of your sliding glass door track. Regular height models (PXR-SRE) fit frames 75" to 80¼" high — the most common patio door size. Tall models (PXR-STE) fit frames 92¾" to 96" high. Measure your existing sliding glass door frame height before ordering. Does the patio model require cutting into my door or wall?

No — the patio Roll Up slides directly into your existing sliding glass door track, replacing the glass panel. No cutting, no drilling, no contractor required. It's the easiest installation of any Power Pet Roll Up configuration. The door mount and wall mount models do require cutting, but the opening is only the size of the flap — not the entire frame.

What can I control from the Wi-Fi app?

The app lets you open and close the door remotely, activate or deactivate entry and exit sensors, set 24/7 weekly schedules for when your pet is allowed in and out, view activity history, and receive real-time notifications. High Tech Pet's firmware update system also delivers new features to your door automatically as they're developed — your door gets better over time.

What size Power Pet Roll Up do I need?

Measure your dog's shoulder height and add 1–2 inches for minimum flap height. Medium (7¾" × 15⅛") fits dogs up to 30 lbs. Large (10" × 19") fits dogs up to 100 lbs.
