Hi Tech, please offer a wider version for larger dogs. This narrow band works its way through my dog's fur and rubs on her skin. A thicker band is necessary for bigger dogs. Also the band easily slips through the retaining clasp and the male end of the buckle. The collar loosens and then my dog is able to get it in her mouth. I always check every day before I leave that it is tight enough to weather the day but not so tight that it causes harm. But every day I have to adjust it tighter again because it works loose during the day. One day I came home and the transmitter was stuck in her mouth. Her jaw was wide open and she couldn't close her mouth. Who knows how long it had been that way. Last night I came home and she had been stuck inside because she had chewed through the band. It had worked its way loose during the day and she was able to start chewing on it. When it fell off she was no longer able to get outside. This is a super common complaint about this collar and Hi Tech hasn't done anything about it. Seems like a simple fix to offer an adapter that replaces the back plate and facilitates a larger band or an owner-provided band. There are 3rd-party solutions out there for this but it seems like Hi Tech should take ownership of this problem and offer a factory solution that keeps the water-resistant integrity. Giving 2-stars because the transmitter works really well.
