We have had hi tech doors and collars for8 years. 3 different types of collars for multiple dogs. When we moved & had to get a new door, we jumped on the opportunity for the rechargeable collars.

While we love the charging feature - the design of the collar is terrible.

The “test” button is NOT recessed in like other collars and our dogs constantly hit the button and thus beeping their collar and they think they are about to get shocked. They could be laying down, asleep, and move to get up and it beeps. We have tried fitting it different ways on them and it doesnt matter.
I wouldn’t buy another until they redesign the test button. It’s not worth the anxiety for the dogs. I’ve had so many prongs fall out too.

*I have 5 of these doors/collars in my boarding facility

#1. The prongs do not stay screwed in to the collars. You have to have them in order to charge in the port and I cannot find replacements on the site unless I want to pay almost $100 for a new rechargeable collar!
2. The Nylon fabric of both the rechargeable collar and especially on the battery operated collars are very flimsy.
3. Replacement parts are very expensive
4. Consistency is not a strong point with the doors opening each time.
5. I bought the largest doors that were offered but, they are not tall enough for the taller breeds

The new models are poor quality and tend to break easily.
The warranty policy is difficult to navigate compared to others.
I realy miss the old units.

Use it for the electric dog door, and it works great.

I L-O-V-E my PX-2. I've added 2 collars since I purchased it, for a second dog and my fosters :) the dogs love the freedom they gain from it and I love both the control and security of it!
