Our dog adopted us about 3 weeks ago, we found him sleeping on our front porch chair then he would go to the back porch swing. After a few days we began to feed him, poor guy was starving and had sores all over his body. We also realized that he was deaf. The only problem he had was when it would turn dark he would bark all night so we started turning the back yard light on for him, but that only worked for awhile, then the barking began again. We live in the country so its not a bid deal but we have one close neighbor that we were concerned about and I have multiple sclerosis and I need my rest. We tried the vibration collars and it did nothing. We didnt want to hurt him, he has been hurt enough, but he had to do something, we are protecting him, he will not be harmed anymore. So we ordered the BT-3 and my hubby tested it first and since it gradually goes up, it gives him warning and it works very well. Ya'll said it takes 3 days and you are wrong, it only took about two hours, and our smart lil boy (we call him Big Dog) caught on and he barks no more! We have even taken his collar off, and he still does not back, we are sold and are passing the word to everyone on Amazon....they may delete our post, but for now, we are letting them know. So we also found out that the dog is an American Bulldog and he is only 5 months old. We knew he was still a puppy. He is white with ice blue eyes and the vet said that they are normally deaf and blind. Thanks again to HighTechPet for an AMAZING product that works! If you offered 10 STARS we would have given it!

I have a 115lb Rottweiller who loves to serenade me whenever I leave the apartment without him. Unfortunately, when I leave for work at 6:15am my neighbors are not so happy to hear the howling. I give him treats when I leave as I have done for years before the howling started, but now once the treats are finished, the howling starts. I tried the Sonic egg first that transmitted a high pitched sound, but Duke quickly learned that he could just howl louder and not hear the sound. I have been using the collar for 3 days now when I leave for work during the week. The first day I waited outside the door to see if there was any change. He started to howl and within a few seconds I heard him yelp. Then he started whimpering, and tried howling again, and go the same result. After that he stuck to whimpering, which is alot quieter for the neighbors than howling. So far I am satisfied and hopeful that he will learn to stop getting himself worked up altogether.

I have a large, very stubborn goldendoodle who would not stop barking at people passing by and cats meandering through the yard. I have tried several other bark collars but returned them all. This one stayed in place on his neck so it could work properly. He quit barking immediately and now neighbors can walk past the house without his loud bark. Thank you!!! Thank you!!!

Worked great for my border collie for awhile. Now he has either figured out how to bark around it or barks anyway. Yes, I've checked/replaced battery. There also is no way to tell which mode it is in. Any suggestions?

I can't believe how quickly Rig stopped barking. He didn't seem like he was in pain, either, which was a relief to me. We moved him from the country to the city - right next to a daycare, of all places, so something had to be done. He looks very intimidating even without the bark, so the collar was for his safety, as well. He, unfortunately, destroyed two collars due to someone removing them from his neck and not putting the collar out of his reach. Twice. The collars aren't weak, he's just a beast of a boy. I think if the strap was of a different material, the entire unit would benefit.
