I bought 2, one for replacement, and 1 for a spare. Used them both in 3 days.

I'm so sorry you are experiencing this frustration. I am going to reach out to you directly and see if we can e to the bottom of what is going on. Also, keep in mind that every part we sell comes with a full 1 year warranty. Would you like me to place an order for another cable spool? I also have some follow up queestions that might help me figure out why they are breaking so soon. This is highly unusual. This part usually lasts for a good long time.

I replaced the circuit board

I replaced the circuit board, the motor and the spool / cable assembly.
since I had it all apart. The cable was shredded on many strands of the cable .
I re-assembled it all and it worked just fine. (great)

I’m very thankful for a husband that can fix issues with the door rather than replace it

I’m very thankful for a husband that can fix issues with the door rather than replace it. The last few cables I have recvd seem to be off by a couple centimeters long or short. There was a time that the cable wires were perfect but lately they are NOT. I have a kit just so my husband can adjust if they are long but the short ones sit in the repair box. Although the price has went up significantly so we may have to remove the door. Seems as if the parts a nickel and dummy is over the last year.
